Sara is married to Kevin Kiser and they have 2 children together, Alayna and Jake. Both will be raised in the church just as she was. Sara enjoys cooking, any and all arts and crafts, social events, and hanging out with her family. Marie is 33 years old and has 3 beautiful daughters Bailey, Sydney, and Harper with her husband Matt. She joined Christ United Methodist Church in 2015 and has been active in the contemporary worship, nursery, and children's program. Marie grew up in the United Methodist Church in McAllen, Texas, where she took on an active leadership role as a youth. Marie was involved in the UMY, district youth, and other activities. In the years since her youth involvement, she worked professionally for AT&T call center, was the lead teller for a credit union, and most recently served as a the Dealer Developmental Sales Manager.
Marie brings with her a relational skill to meet the youth where they are and to help guide them through the struggles they face in today’s world. The youth who were part of the selection team have already grown attached to her and look forward to the times they have together learning from her Christ inspired lessons.
Director of Music
Ronnie has been active in church music since his teen years. While he was a member of Morningside UMC, he was the choir director for children, youth, and adults. During that time, he was privately taught choral conducting and vocal pedagogy by Ken Dooley, his mentor in church music, for a period of twelve years. After coming to Christ UMC in 1972, Ronnie became active in the music program, serving as children and youth choir director, and now serves as Chancel choir director. In his words, “I love music. Church music is my passion!” Ronnie attended Centenary College and Chouinard Art Institute. He and his wife, Peggy, have two daughters and two grandchildren.
